PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable cosmetic composition of a non-detergent aqueous liquid.;SOLUTION: This invention relates to a cosmetic composition of a non-detergent aqueous liquid including at least one gellan gum or its derivative, at least one solid compound and at least one univalent salt in a medium acceptable as a cosmetic. In addition, this invention relates to methods for forming and maintaining hairstyles using the cosmetic composition, and a styling composition for fixing and maintaining hair of this cosmetic composition, a hair conditioning composition, particularly a composition giving flexibility to hair, or its use as a makeup composition for hair or the outer surface of the skin.
