PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of the necessity of adaptation to individual applications for a change or addition of a visual effect because each of the application displays GUI exhibiting display effect by using a function provided by a window system which a system has and the timing and type of the effect are controlled and optionally used by the application.;SOLUTION: A window display unit includes a screen update detection part 209, a feature extraction part 210 and a display effect determination part 211. By making the display effect determination part 211 determine a display effect to be automatically added, based on feature information of a window produced by the feature extraction part 210 from display attributes and events of the window, upon screen update detection of the screen update detection part, GUI display exhibiting a display effect is attained without control by the application.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
