摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for correctly evaluating attainability of a transmission path of multicast data.;SOLUTION: In a trace route system in a multicast network, at least one of a plurality of receiving hosts is provided with a control packet generating means, to generate a prescribed format of request packet and to send a transmission host out as an address and a verification means to verify the attainability, related to the transmission path of the multicast data, based on a return situation of a response packet to the request packet. The transmission host is provided with a request detecting means, to detect the request packet and a return means to generate the prescribed format of response packet and to return it to the receiving host according to the detection of the request packet. A plurality of routers are provided with a detection means, to detect the request packet and the response packet and a transfer means to transfer the request packet or the response packet according to the detection of the request packet and the response packet, based on a multicast routing table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
