PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system equipped with a thunder detecting means capable of entirely eliminating the effect of a lightening surge to cope with the occurrence of thunder by the power supply system itself, and capable of stably supplying power with no power failure even at the time of power interruption.;SOLUTION: There are provided a thunder detector 12 for detecting far and near thunder, and an uninterruptible power system 9 which incorporates a battery 9c to supply power to a load from a battery 9c at the time of power interruption. When the thunder detector 12 detects remote thunder, it triggers a power generation system 7 to generate power, and if it detects near thunder, the power supply of a main power input 3 is cut off by a circuit breaker 3d, and the output voltage of the power generation system 7 is supplied to the uninteruptible power system 9 by a system switcher 6, thus supplying the power from the power generation system 7 to the load.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
