PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control emissions from a plurality of light emitting diodes with a smaller circuit scale.;SOLUTION: This versawriter is equipped with multiplexers 11, 13 to which plural pieces of light emitting diodes DO1, DO2, ..., D16 are connected, driving circuits 12, 14 which are connected respectively to the multiplexers 11, 13, a storage member 86 (15) in which afterglow image data is stored and a control main body 15 which outputs control signals to the multiplxers 11, 13 based on the afterglow image data. Then, in the writer, a part or all of the plural pieces of light emitting diodes DO1, DO2, ..., D16 are utilized as light receiving elements for reading an image and a character, etc., and the image and the character are reproduced by emitting light emitting diodes based on the read afterglow image data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
