PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center device, an in-vehicle unit, an information distribution system and an information distribution method for updating static information according to the convenience of a user or a service provider.;SOLUTION: This center device for distributing parking lot information is provided with: a storage means for storing parking lot information by area division obtained by dividing a Japanese map into prescribed sizes on the basis of meridian and parallel and version information showing the version of static information included in the parking lot information in association; and a control means for transmitting the static information to an in-vehicle unit by area division units. When receiving the acquisition request of the dynamic information of the periphery of a retrieval location belonging to a specific area division from the in-vehicle unit, the control means decides whether or not the version information of the specific division stored in the in-vehicle unit is the latest, and when deciding that the version information is not the latest, transmits the static information included in the parking lot information associated with the latest version information to the in-vehicle unit, and transmits the dynamic information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
