PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently achieve information transmission from the inside of a vehicle to the outside. ;SOLUTION: There is provided a keyless entry device which is comprised of a keyless transmitter-receiver 15 arranged in a portable machine 1 and a keyless transmitter-receiver 22 arranged in an in-vehicle machine 2, the transmitter-receivers 15, 22 exchanging predetermined lock control information via a first communication line formed by using radio waves or infrared waves, whereby the in-vehicle machine 2 controls locking and unlocking operations of a door locking mechanism by the in-vehicle machine 2. According to the keyless entry device, a period of time during which the predetermined lock control information is not exchanged, arbitrary information different from the lock control information is transferred from the portable machine 1 to the in-vehicle machine 2 or vice versa via the first communication line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
