PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating noise that is adapted to a turbo decoder for improving the performance of the decoder.;SOLUTION: For evaluating noise related to data that is generated from a turbo encoder, the estimation values of noise regarding its organization output, data being generated from the first fundamental encoder, and data being generated from its second fundamental encoder are determined (70). At least two of the estimation values of noise regarding the organization output, the data being generated from the first encoder, and data being generated from the second encoder are added (72). The addition results are divided by the number of data being added (74), and then are inverted to obtain a noise figure (76).
