PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a castable alumina-magnesia-based refractory excellent in slaking resistance, dimensional stability and high temperature deformability and having a long service life. ;SOLUTION: This castable alumina-magnesia-based refractory, in which magnesium carbonate is employed as the source of magnesia, is produced by compounding 68-98 mass % of an alumina raw material having an average particle diameter of ≤5 mm with 1-30 mass % of magnesium carbonate expressed in terms of magnesia.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
