PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method of a contest of karaoke video works displayed in synchronism with karaoke accompaniments. PSOLUTION: Karaoke video works which are exclusive for individual songs are stored in a video database that a karaoke playing machine can access and a plurality of karaoke video works are registered for the same song; and the karaoke playing machine when a karaoke video work group exclusive for some song A is present in playing a karaoke accompaniment to the song A by reading index information of the video database including work descriptions of individual video works informs a user of the presence of the plurality of karaoke video works according to the work descriptions, takes out a karaoke video work that the user selects from the plurality of karaoke video works out of the video database, and displays it when the song A is played and the management system of the video database records use results by karaoke video works each time the karaoke playing device uses the karaoke video works and outputs the work use results in a proper information form.
