PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimethacrylate which has the different ester bonds obtained from a secondary hydroxy group and a tertiary hydroxy group, respectively in the molecule, a crosslinking agent containing the same as an effective component, a method for producing the crosslinked resin with the agent, and a method for decrosslinking the crosslinked resin.;SOLUTION: The novel dimethacrylate is 2-methyl-2,4-pentane diol dimethacrylate. The crosslinking agent contains the novel dimethacrylate as an effective component. The crosslinked resin is obtained by the radical polymerization of a vinyl monomer with 2-methyl-2,4-pentane diol dimethacrylate.
