Compositions containing 2- [6- (3-aminopiperidin-1-yl) -3-methyl-2,4-dioxo-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrimidin-1-ylmethyl] -4-fluorobenzonitrile succinate (in the text designated as compound I), which has the formula (I) wherein compound I is present in one or more polymorphic forms. Also presented are new methods for producing polymorphs of compound I, and kits and industrial products containing compositions, and methods for using the compositions to treat various diseases.
