A tooth for use in a grinding wheel having a rotor, and a grinding unit that uses the tooth, is disclosed. The tooth comprises a main body where the body has a slot defined by two substantially planar surfaces for, in use, engaging with a slot in the rotor. The cutting face includes at least two tips which are perpendicular to each other. At least one cutting face is connected to, and extends away from, the main body. In use, the force in the plane of the rotor is transferred onto the rotor via one of the planar surfaces provided on the slot.
