A method for assessing the state of fetus and predicting the state of the newborn according to the parameters of the fetal hemodynamics provides for dopplerometry of the blood circulation in the coronary arteries of fetus. The absence of the visualization of the coronary arteries up to Week 37 or records of the coronary circulation since Week 37 as well as the normal indices of the vascular resistance in the middle cerebral artery are indicative of the normal state of fetal hemodynamics predicting the normal state of the newborn. The record of the blood flow rate curves in the coronary arteries in any gestation term in the setting of the decreased vascular resistance in the middle cerebral artery is indicative of the compensatory centralization of the blood circulation. The record of the blood flow rate curves in the coronary arteries with the peak flow rate exceeding 30 cm/s in diastole in the setting of the normal or increased vascular resistance in the middle cerebral artery independently of the gestation term is indicative of the critical state of the fetal hemodynamics predicting high probability of asphyxia in labor.
