A method for optimizing the assessment of treatment outcome in the therapy of the chronic heart failure in the aged patients with ischemic heart disease comprises the assessment of the parameters of structural and functional state of myocardium. Prior to and after the treatment, apoptosis of mononuclear cells is estimated. The improvement of the parameters of structural and functional state of myocardium with the decreased apoptosis of mononuclear cells is indicative of the positive treatment outcome.
