The invention relates to metallurgy. An exothermal mix for producing thermit high-speed steel P6M3L contains w/w: metal chromium or FX65-7A ferrochromium 2.4-3.5 (3.8-5.3), C40L10 silicocalcium and FC65AL ferrosilicon 1.5-2.0, 75 %ferrovanadium 1.9-3.1, carbon 1.4-1.7, molybdenum 0.6-0.8, tungsten oxide 6.1-8.3, sulfur and phosphorus not more than 0.02, aluminium powder grade of PA-3-PA-6 19.5-21.0 and iron scale as waste forge and rolled productions 54.78-64.38. The invention allows to obtain high-speed steel P6M3L at minimum sintering of alloying components.
