A METHOD OF PRODUCING AN INFILL MATERIAL FOR SYNTHETIC-GRASS STRUCTURES, CORRESPONDING MATERIAL, AND SYNTHETIC GRASS STRUCTURE

A method for producing a particulate infill material forsynthetic-grass structures envisages providing (18) a mass ofthermoplastic material (14) with a filler consisting ofcoconut-based material (10) and subjecting (24) said mass ofthermoplastic material (14) with a filler consisting of coconut--basedmaterial (10) to granulation so as to obtain the aforesaidparticulate infill material. Preferentially, the thermoplasticmaterial (14) is in particulate form, and the coconut-basedmaterial (10) is in particulate form (fibrous, ground and/orshredded). The mixture obtained by mixing the thermoplasticmaterial (14) and the coconut-based material (14) is heated inorder to bring about softening of the thermoplastic material (14)with the corresponding formation of a matrix of thermoplasticmaterial that incorporates the coconut-based material (4) asfiller.
