Disclosed is a charged particle movement-type display panel (1) wherein a plurality of cells (40) divided by a partition wall (31) are between a transparent substrate (10) and a back substrate (20) which are so arranged as to face each other, and charged particles (41, 42) are sealed within the cells (40). In the charged particle movement-type display panel (1), a black matrix structure is formed by having the partition wall (31) standing on the back substrate (20) composed of a light-transmitting material, and coating the front end and lateral surface of the partition wall (31) with a resin (32) which contains an opaque or semi-transparent deep-colored coloring material.
