A three-dimensional object determining device is provided with: a detecting section (2) which detects a plurality of feature points of an object included in acquired image data; a pattern normalizing section (5) which generates a normalization pattern provided by normalizing the feature points by a three-dimensional model; an estimating section (6) which estimates the illuminating direction of light applied on the object in the image data; and a determining section (7) which determines whether the object in the image data is a three-dimensional object by using the illuminating direction.
