The machine (1) has a processing unit at which die cutting tools (24,26) are detachably mounted for tool processing. A thread milling tool (20) and a work piece are moved along a lifting axis (14) relative to each other by a milling lifting drive and are rotated around a rotational axis (15) relative to each other. The thread milling tool and the work piece are moved relative to each other in a milling moving direction parallel to the work piece-main plane.
