PURPOSE: A metal material supply apparatus for vacuum melting and a method thereof are provided to create molten metal easily in a vacuum condition by emptying a vacuum melting chamber through an air exhaust valve and pipe.;CONSTITUTION: A metal material supply apparatus for vacuum melting comprises a vacuum melting chamber(10) with an air exhaust pipe(11) on top thereof, a first material inlet pipe(20) which one end connected to one side of the vacuum melting chamber, a second material inlet pipe(40) which is connected to the other end of the first material inlet pipe on one end and equipped with an air exhaust pipe(41) on one side thereof, a vacuum valve(30) which is interposed between the first and the second material inlet pipe, a support plate(50) which is integrally formed on the other end of the second material inlet pipe and has a material inlet hole(51) connected to the inner channel of the second material inlet pipe, a movable plate(60) which is in contact with the support plate, and a charging plunger(81) which is installed on the movable plate to move into or out of the first and the second material inlet pipe.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
