PURPOSE: A vacuum melting device for light metal and a vacuum melting method using the same are provided to improve degassing and melting efficiency because a melting furnace is extended outside of a vacuum melting chamber and plural heating units of different heating temperatures are arranged on the exterior of the melting furnace.;CONSTITUTION: A vacuum melting device for light metal comprises a vacuum melting chamber(10), a melting furnace(20), plural heating units(25,26,27,28), a stopper(21), a material inlet pipe(40), first and second vacuum valves(30,50), and first and second molten metal insulation pipes(70,80). An air discharge pipe(11) is installed on the top of the vacuum melting chamber. One end of the melting furnace is connected to one side of the vacuum melting chamber at a certain angle. The heating units are arranged in a row along the exterior of the melting furnace. The stopper with molten metal through-holes(22) is arranged on the inner surface of one end of the melting furnace. The material inlet pipe with an air discharge pipe(41) is connected to the other end of the melting furnace. The first and the second vacuum valve are installed on both ends of the material inlet pipe, respectively. The first molten metal insulation pipe communicates with the other side of the vacuum melting chamber.
