The invention relates to the problem of providing a device for reliably removing water from a machined workpiece (1) in order to remove water drops deposited on the workpiece (1). For this purpose, the water removing device comprises an air blowing box (2) for accommodating the workpiece (1) to be subjected to water removal. The workpiece clamping jig (3) is mounted in the air blowing box (2) for clamping the workpiece (1). A jig rotating mechanism (4) is provided for rotating the workpiece clamping jig (3) in order to rotate the clamped workpiece (1) thereby causing water drops deposited on the workpiece (1) to run and fall downwards. An air blower (5) for generating an air current (6) flowing substantially in the same direction as the direction of falling water drops (7) is connected to the air blowing box (2) to enhance the downward movement of droplets from the workpiece (1).
