PURPOSE: A phonebook information management method and a phonebook information management server therefor for more easily inquiring the phone book record information even in case a user loses a smart card are provided to update phonebook record information without additionally operating the user information. CONSTITUTION: Phonebook information of a first user is stored(S620). The phonebook information of a first user includes the phone book record information of a second user. The change request of the phone book record information is received from the communications terminal of the second user(S630). The phonebook information of the first user including the phone book record information of the second user requesting alteration is extracted out from the phonebook information of the saved first user(S640). The phone book record information of the second user included in the phonebook information of the first user which is stuck out is updated to the phone book record information change(S660).
