An apparatus for setting and separating an ice bank of a refrigerator is provided to easily combine or separate the ice bank with or from a base member so as to allow a user to conveniently use the ice bank. An apparatus for setting and separating an ice bank of a refrigerator includes a rotation axis(400), a cover(500), a attaching/detaching unit and an elastic member. The rotation axis is rotatably combined with a base member. The ice band is slidably inserted into the base member. The cover is attached to one side of the rotation axis and has a predetermined area. The cover covers an opened portion which is formed by the ice bank and the base member when the ice bank is inserted into the base member. The base member and the ice bank include the attaching/detaching unit. The attaching/detaching unit attaches/detaching the ice bank in connection with the cover when the ice bank is inserted into the base member or separated from the base member. The elastic member elastically supports the cover.
