PURPOSE: A clinker drop detection device is provided to grasp accurate reason of pressure changes in a furnace by analyzing the pressure, water temperature and water level in the furnace and the supply current of the grinder. CONSTITUTION: A clinker drop detection device comprises a boiler, a water tub(140), a grinding and discharging device(150), and a data acquisition unit(160). The boiler burns pulverized coal and air in a furnace(111) to vaporize the water in a piping tube. The grinding and discharging device is composed of a flow path part(151), a cylinder device(153) which controls the inflow and outflow of clinker(C), and a grinder(155) which pulverizes the clinker. The data acquisition unit includes a pressure sensor(161), a water temperature sensor(163), a water level sensor(165), and a current sensor(167). The pressure sensor detects the pressure changes in the upper and lower section of the furnace. The current sensor detects the driving current according to the load of the grinder.
