PURPOSE: A driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to improve the brightness efficiency of an image by implementing a wide viewing angle and a narrow viewing angle selectively.;CONSTITUTION: In a driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same, a liquid crystal panel(2) comprises quad type unit pixels consisting of an RGB sub pixel and an ECB(Electrical Controlled Birefringence) sub pixel. A drive controller operates gate lines and data line of the liquid crystal panel. A viewing angle controller(7) generates a selection control signal according to a viewing angle selection signal inputted from the outside.
