PURPOSE: A method for preparing vinylethylene carbonate(VEC) is provided to prepare VEC of high purity through simple process without additional process.;CONSTITUTION: A vinylethylene carbonate(VEC) is synthesized by reacting The basic catalyst is sodium methoxide. A method for preparing the vinylethylene carbonate comprises: a step of putting 3,4-dihyroxy-1-butene, dialkyl carbonate and basic catalys into a reactor; a step of reacting the 3,4-dihydroxy-1-butene and dialkyl carbonate to obtain mixture containing vinylethylene carbonate and alcohol; a step of removing alcohol from the mixture; and a step of distilling the mixture to obtain vinylethyele carbonate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
