PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device capable of controlling a viewing angle and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to form ITO on the front of a color filter substrate, thereby simplifying a process.;CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor is formed in each sub pixel of the first substrate(210). A common electrode and a pixel electrode are formed in sub pixels of RGB color pixels of the first substrate. A pixel electrode is formed in the sub pixel of an ECB control pixel of the first substrate. A front ITO(201) is formed on the front side of the second substrate(205). A black matrix(206) is formed on the second substrate. An overcoat layer(209) is formed on the front of the second substrate except the ECB control pixel.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
