PURPOSE: A data transmission method in a multi-carrier system, and a transmitter are provided to minimize the deterioration of performance in an expanded bandwidth by arranging independent discrete fourier transformation(DFT) units and/or inverse fast fourier transformation(IFFT) units for each transmission antenna or transmission wave.;CONSTITUTION: A processor(410) processes user data. A single carrier frequency division multiple access(SC-FDMA) signal generator(430) receives the user data and generates SC-FDMA symbols that are transmitted through a plurality of transmission antennas(490-1 to 490-Nt). Each transmission antenna is related to each transmission wave. At least one DFT unit performs DFT with respect to the user data and generates DFT expanded symbols. A plurality of IFFT units performs IFFT with respect to the DFT expanded symbols and generates SC-FDMA symbols.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
