PURPOSE: A digital record system for detecting a specific object and a method for detecting the specific object in the digital video record system are provided to notify the object to a manager through notifying unit if the same object as a preset specific image is captured, thereby conveniently finding an image corresponding to the specific object among photographed frames. CONSTITUTION: A camera unit(110) photographs an random area. A memory unit(120) stores an original image about random object in advance. An image extractor(130) compares a plurality of acquired frames of the camera with the stored original image of the memory unit. The image extractor extracts a frame. The frame comprises an image similar to the original image among a plurality of frames. A notification unit(150) notifies the extracted frame.
