FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically, to ophthalmology. One or more areas of irradiation of UV radiation of different forms are formed in cornea, as well as in the form of concentric circles, arcs, parallel lines, squares, bars, spirals or other geometric shapes. In another embodiment UV radiation is polarized and the depth of exposure of UV radiation is adjusted directing the plane of polarization of UV against the plane of polarization of light cornea at an angle of 1 to 180 degrees. For the method implementation a device is used that includes a body positioned with its source of UV radiation, power supply and control connected with it, optical elements and diaphragm located on the same optical axis with a source of UV light focusing. The diaphragm is designed as a mask with alternating transparent and opaque areas having a form of concentric circles, grids, squares, arcs, parallel lines or other geometric shapes. In another variant the device includes a body with a spring of UV radiation positioned in it, power supply and control connected with it, focusing optical elements located on the same optical axis with a source of UV radiation, diaphragm and polarizer with an option of setup of UV radiation polarization plane over the cornea polarization plane within 1-180 degrees.;EFFECT: invention may be used for the treatment of keratoconus.;8 cl, 10 fig, 4 ex
