The belt (1) has bodies (8) forming contact surfaces (7.1, 7.2) on surface areas (9.1, 9.2) of the belt, where the surfaces are made of a higher heat conductivity material e.g. bronze and/or stainless steel. The bodies are indirectly connected with a fabric (3) e.g. woven fabric (5) or knitted fabric, and regions (14) between the individual contact surfaces are filled with a filling material (10) i.e. plastic material, under formation of predefined surface characteristics. The contact surfaces are arranged in longitudinal and/or breadth directions of the band in an unevenly distributed manner. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for producing a belt (2) a drying- or smoothing arrangement comprising a belt.
