The channel measuring gauge (20) has two measuring marks (23.1,23.2) for position and height direction measurements of circular manholes (1). The channel measuring gauge is formed by a mold element (21) having upper and lower sides (20',20''). A side stop (24.1,24.2) is provided for the correct positioning of the channel measuring gauge on the manhole. The two measuring marks are provided at the upper side of the mold element. An independent claim is also included for a method for position and height direction measurements of circular manholes.
