The motor vehicle display system has projection surfaces (PF1,PF2) which are movable between two projection positions. A projection unit is provided for projecting information onto the projection surfaces. A control device (STE) is arranged in such a manner and connected with the projection surfaces and the projection unit that the projection surfaces are moved automatically as a function of the information to be projected by the projection unit from one projection position to another projection position. The projection device has a laser projector (LP).
