The method involves determining destination with consideration of a characteristic and another characteristic related to a road network within a geographical region such that the destination is formed as a pareto optimal location with respect to the characteristics. The former characteristic or the latter characteristic is provided with a distance between a starting point and the destination, where the former characteristic or the latter characteristic includes costs, which stands in connection with the destination. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining destination within a preset geographical region of a road network.
