The fiber evaporator (30') of a mobile heater, comprises a metal fiber structure, where the fibers of the metal structure of the evaporator are welded to each other only at a single section or single sections of the fiber evaporator. The section with the welded fiber forms a part area related to total stretching area of the evaporator and extends itself respectively over a thickness of the evaporator. The sections are distributed over the total stretching area of the evaporator. The fibers of the metal fiber structure are welded together over the total stretching area of the evaporator. The fiber evaporator (30') of a mobile heater, comprises a metal fiber structure, where the fibers of the metal structure of the evaporator are welded to each other only at a single section or single sections of the fiber evaporator. The section with the welded fiber forms a part area related to total stretching area of the evaporator and extends itself respectively over a thickness of the evaporator. The sections are distributed over the total stretching area of the evaporator. The fibers of the metal fiber structure are welded together over the total stretching area of the evaporator. The evaporator is formed in the form of a round plate. The metal fibers of the metal fiber structure are pressed and/or sintered. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a fiber evaporator for mobile heater.
