The blind rivet (1) has a bolt/shaft (2) supporting an automatically punching vertex (3) at an end associated to workpieces that are connected with each other. The vertex has sharp-edged threads (9), which drills the workpieces by rotating the vertex and provides a required hole in the workpieces in non-cutting manner. A lower head groove (8) is provided at a head (6) of the blind rivet, where suppressed material is discharged at the lower head groove by rivet process.
