The indicator (20) has a memory (28) for storing a map (30) associating predicted quantities of carbon dioxide from a vehicle (2) to a set of vehicle operating parameters relative to driving actions of a driver. A processing unit (26) e.g. electronic computer, constructs and controls the display of a graph, indicating the predicted modifications of actual carbon dioxide quantity to the driver, in response to different driving actions and to different associated modifications of operating parameter values.
