The element i.e. medallion (1), has a lighting device (11) with a reflecting cover plate (14) ensuring reflection of light emitted by a light source (13) e.g. diode, towards a translucent wall (2). The plate is arranged in a metallic structure of a component i.e. door (10) in a reflecting zone (15) located at a right side of the wall. The reflecting zone and the wall define a closed space (16), where the light source is positioned at interior of the space. A joint (19) is positioned between the wall and the reflecting zone.
