Four-cylinder internal combustion engine torque transmission chain for e.g. hybrid motor vehicle, has variable inertia fly-wheel coupled to engine output shaft by common clutch so as to be rotated around engine output shaft
The chain (C) has an engine output shaft (1) coupled to a clutch (2) that is connected to a set of drive wheels (4) by a coupling unit (3). A variable inertia fly-wheel is coupled to the engine output shaft by a common clutch (7) so as to be rotated around the engine output shaft. The variable inertia fly-wheel comprises movable elements i.e. movable flyweights (5, 5'), that are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the engine output shaft. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control unit for a torque transmission chain, comprising a central controller (2) a method for controlling automatic starting and stopping of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
