PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the compounds useful for reducing the risk of epileptic occurrences and/or for alleviating epileptic phenomena in patients, and to provide the compositions including the compounds.SOLUTION: There are provided the compounds in which at least the following two components are chemically bonded, and compositions comprising the compounds: (a) vitamin B6-based component selected from pyridoxal, pyridoxamine, pyridoxine, their pharmaceutically acceptable functional derivatives and salts; and (b) at least one antiepileptic drug (AED) or anticonvulsive, neuroprotective drug or neurotropic compound or moiety. Further, epileptic episodes is prevented and alleviated by using the above compounds, and the side effects of antiepileptic drugs can be reduced.
