PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved treatment relating to particles forming a dried powder pharmaceutical preparation for administration to lungs using a dried powder inhalator (DPI), particularly for providing the treatment with active substance particles and carrier substance particles in the presence of an additive to provide a low cost produced powder composition exhibiting excellent powder characteristics.SOLUTION: A process for production of the powder pharmaceutical preparation includes concurrent pulverization of the active particles and the additive, separate concurrent pulverization of the carrier particles and the additive, and followed by combination of the concurrently pulverized active particles and the carrier particles.
