PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music download system, a music receiving terminal, a music download method and a program for detecting sleeping state of a user and automatically stops music download when the user falls asleep without stopping music download.;SOLUTION: An information acquiring section 11 acquires state information representing the state of a user. A determination section 13 determines whether the user is asleep or not on the basis of the state information. A download section 14 stops download of music information to the user when the determination section 13 determines that the user is asleep. Further, an information storing section 12 stores history information representing the history of music information downloaded to the user. The system is also provided with an analysis section which generates preference information representing preference of the user on the basis of the history information.
