PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the bulging of a booklet efficiently by saving energy consumption and time to the required minimum limits.;SOLUTION: First, information concerning sheet thickness is obtained (S101), then after a mode complying with the sheet thickness is determined and selected (S102 and S104), information on the number of processed sheets is obtained. Then pressurizing time based on the number of sheets is determined (S106). After the determination, the pressurizing time is selected (S107) and the pressurizing upper limit time based on the number of sheets is determined (S108). Further, the upper limit time is selected according to the determined results (S109), and then, whether the selected pressurizing time is less than the upper limit time or not, is determined (S111). When the determination is "Yes", the pressurizing time is selected in a pressurizing time setting mode (S112), and the selected time, the mode and the processing conditions are decided (S113). When the determinaiton is "No", a pressurizing repetition mode is selected (S114), and after information on the number of processed sheets is acquired (S115), the pressurizing repetition frequency based on the number of sheets is determined (S116).
