PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical experiment toy in which different colors can be visually recognized by putting water of different temperatures into the toy and which safely and simply provides an interest in science, and to provide a chemical experiment toy set using the same.;SOLUTION: In the chemical experiment toy 1 and the chemical experiment toy set using the same, to the surface of a transparent container 2 having the form of a chemical experiment instrument, a reversible thermochromic layer 3 containing a reversible thermochromic pigment (A) and a reversible thermochromic pigment (B) having color tones different from each other are provided. A reversible thermochromic pigments shows a hysteresis curve which starts color development when reaching a color development starting temperature (T2) in a temperature-falling stage from a decolorization state in a color density-temperature curve, is brought into a completely color-developed state when reaching a complete color development temperature (T1), starts decolorization when reaching a color disappearing starting temperature (T3) in a temperature-rising stage from the color development state, and is brought into a completely decolorization state when reaching a completely color disappearing temperature (T4).
