PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting a balancing force of a double-hung window, which enables phased adjustment associated with not only winding tightening but also rewinding, and which enables the degree of introduction of a twisting force to be determined at one view.;SOLUTION: This device 6 for adjusting the balancing force includes: a case 20; a horizontal gear member 23 which is installed in a predetermined position in the case in such a manner as to be rotatable around a horizontal axis, and which has a ratchet gear 23b formed around a shank; a click member 24 which is installed in a position adjacent to the horizontal gear member 23 in such a manner as to be rotatable within a predetermined angle range around the horizontal axis, and which is equipped with clicks 24a and 24b elongated in the direction of the horizontal gear member 23 on both the sides of an intermediate shank, respectively; a vertical gear member 26 which is meshed with the horizontal gear member 23; and an indicator member 27 for indicating an initial introduced force, which is screwed to a shank 26c of the vertical gear member 26, which enables a protrusion 27b, formed on an outer peripheral surface, to be seen on the outside from a vertical slit groove 21m formed in the case 20, and which moves upward and downward along with the rotation of the vertical gear member 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
