METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MORPHO-STRUCTURAL COLOR DEVELOPING BODY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve low-cost mass-production of morpho-structural color developing bodies. PSOLUTION: The surface of an original substrate 10 is roughened by, for example, polishing the surface with a polishing material, then, the surface is irradiated and scanned with femtosecond laser to form a fine structure on the original substrate 10. Thereafter, an electroforming process is performed to transfer the fine structure to a metal substrate 11. By blacking the surface of the metal substrate 11, and then, laminating a dielectric multilayer film on the blackened surface, the morpho-structural color developing body is formed.
