PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IEEE1394 transmitting apparatus, IEEE1394 receiving apparatus, IEEE1394 transmitting method and IEEE1394 receiving method in which overhead of packets is reduced when transmitting/receiving content items of a plurality of channels via an IEEE1394 interface.;SOLUTION: An IEEE1394 transmitting apparatus which transmits audio data content items of a plurality of channels comprises: an IEC61883-6 encoder 4 which produces a format for a single audio data content item by arranging sampling audio data in the order of audio data content items, and an IEEE transmission controller 7 which applies an IEEE1394 header packet to the produced format for the single audio data content item.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
