PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active fluorine-containing 2-hydroxyalkanamide and/or optically active fluorine-containing alcohol useful as a physiologically active substance, or the like, for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, etc., in high purity and yield.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active fluorine-containing alcohols comprises asymmetric hydrogenation reaction of at least one kind of compounds selected from a compound having at least two fluorine atoms at α-position of carbonyl group and a compound having at least two fluorine atoms at α position of a carbonyl hydrate using a transition metal catalyst comprising a rhodium complex having an optically active ligand (AMPP ligand) to obtain the optically active fluorine-containing alcohols (formula [10]).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
